“Homage to All Martyrs and Rebels” – Press Statement from Nepali Maoists to the Middle East
We want to extend our strong support and solidarity to the democratic uprisings spreading over the Arab Region which was sparked from Tunisia. We consider the uprisings are the people’s revolt against the tyrannical and the most reactionary rulers of those countries in the back up of the imperialist powers. The rebels should care the democratic objectives of the movement by checking all kind of retrogressive elements and save the movement from falling towards so called religious reformists and comprador agents of the imperialists. We pay our heartfelt homage to all martyrs and call the rebels not to overlook to accomplish the dream of the martyrs.
People have right to rebel. So, we think people of Tunisia, Egypt and Yemen are practicing their right. No rulers had succeeded by oppressing the people’s movement in the world history. And we call all of the governments of those countries to recognize the voice of the countrymen. It is relative to the hour to rule the country on the basis of people’s will. The more people participate in the governance, the more prosperity of the country grows.
At last, we look for future success of the people’s movement and congratulate them for their historical initiative.
